The land of Fresagrandinaria (2.079 He. With 1.100 inhabitants at 2001) is limited by the Trigno river, that divided it from the Borough of Mafalda in Molise, from Treste river behind here there areCupello, Furci and San Buono. Other little rivers are Annecchia and Valloncello but they are just streams. Other near boroughs are Lentella, Dogliola and Palmoli. Inhabitants are called fresans and they speak their particular dialect. The higher hill is The Coccetta (549 u.s.l.) taht belongs to Monti Frentani. Basically, the ground is calcarious and clayey, winding and woody, there is agriculture where it is possible.
The oldest part of Fresa ( lat.41? 58’ 40’’ log.12? 27’08’’, 410u.s.l.) is all along a rocky side, and the new part of the borough is on the valley.
It is in Chieti ‘s district in Abruzzo, Archidiocese Chieti – Vasto. Medio Vastese Mountain Comunity, which main town is Gissi, 25Km far from Fresa There is a medical centre,nursery, primary and secondary school, and a Carabineer Station From 1896.


Each house has drinkable water, sewers, light, telephone, methane gas, whereas country houses have light from 1966 and drinkable water since 1970, telephone, streets and sewers.
High schools, the Court, tax collector’s office, Drainage League, Industrial League, the Hospital are in Vasto (26km), which is connected by means of a bus line.
Distances: from Chieti it is 105km,from Pescara it is 100km, from Lanciano and Ortona it is 70km, from Termoli it is 40km and from Napoli it is 190Km, from Roma it is 290km.
It is possible to reach Fresa by the SS650 and the Trignina . The entrance for the highway (A14) is Vasto Sud at about 20km. The nearest airport is in Pescara and teh railway station is Vasto-San salvo at about 22km.


In te center of the village there is a fountain with three taps, it was built in 1891, it has a little metallic statue of Galatea on it, there are also many buildings belonging to old families De Martinis, Rocchio,Terpolilli, Longhi. There is a Stadium titled San Lorenzo, the square is called Puttlingen and here takes place the weekly fair, and on summer here there are many shows. There is also a park called Coccetta.
Patron Saints are Madonna Grande and San Sebastiano Martire that are celebrated on the Wednesday and Thursday after the Pentecost Sunday, in Spring.
Other religious celebrations are on 15 of August Madonna Grande, on 8 of September Madonna delle Grazieand on 20 of Jannuary San Sebastiano.
From Fresa there is a wide view, it is possible to see Maiella Mountain. Mauro Mountaint, the mouth of the river in the see, Tremiti Island and from the Molise side up to the Gargano.
From the Coccetta, when sky is clean you can see Chieti and Gran Sasso Mountain.
